A savings account with a great rate
A savings account with a guarantee that the rate will be at least 1.00% gross above the published Bank of England base rate until 31st December 2009.
Features

- £500 minimum initial investment required to open and operate the account (£5,000 for monthly interest)
- Subsequent investments must total at least £100

- No notice required to make a withdrawal
- Withdrawals will be transferred direct to your bank or building society account via BACS (Bank Automated Clearing System)
- For accounts opened by post via our direct channel you can arrange withdrawals to be made by writing to us by using our Freepost service or telephoning us with your request.
- For accounts opened at a branch or agency you can arrange withdrawals to be made by visiting your local branch or agency.
Interest:
- Interest rates on this account are variable
- Interest paid annually or monthly
- Interest can be transferred to your bank account or another Stroud & Swindon account, or added to your account
Tax:
- Interest will be paid or credited after deduction of income tax at the appropriate rate
- Non-taxpayers must first complete the appropriate Inland Revenue declaration (R85) (Please contact your local Tax Office if you are unsure about your eligibility for tax-free interest)
